Wedding Blues (er..News)

My daughter asked me to accompany her to a bridal institution in Melbourne for a fitting of her wedding dress.

She floated out of the change room in a sea of foamy white...the only problem being that the neckline was about 5 cm too low. After the straps were taken up she began to feel more secure.

The seamstresses began to take up the complicated hemline but I was amazed that they had let down the straps again before they began the task. I'm not particularly handy with the old needle and thread but even I knew that this would cause an enormous problem with the final product. This expensive wedding dress would be 5 cm too short!!!

"I don't want to tell you your job"..... but of course I did. I didn't want my girl flouncing down the aisle in a million dollar mini dress!

Organising a wedding can be very time consuming- let alone frustrating and nerve wrecking especially if the shop assistant has no idea what they're doing.
